There are no tournaments or competitions in Aikido. Aikido is based on the martial arts of the Japanese
Samurai, it is not a sport. The goal of Aikido study is not to win trophies, but to develop respect, improve
etiquette, and learn how to cooperate and harmonize with others. With this in mind, please explain why
you would like to study Aikido.
